Looks pretty cool

Don't know if this has been posted before, but I just found it, and it's pretty cool. It's a screen saver that cycles images and displays information, sorta widget-like. Check it out.

from the site:

With the new MSN Screen Saver (Beta) you can:

* Personalize with background photos and news and weather information from MSN® or any RSS feeds from websites you choose.
* Search the Web and click news headlines directly from the Screen Saver.
* Stay connected with MSN Hotmail®, MSN Messenger, and MSN Spaces. Track how many unread Hotmail messages and current Messenger conversations you have, and display blogs and photos from your friends’ MSN Spaces.

I don't use Hotmail or MSN Messenger and I'm never really off my puter long enough for the SS to kick in, but I downloaded it about a month ago (when I saw it in the monthly MS Newsletter thing I get) just to see the RSS "object". I'm a total RSS/News junky and it was really kind of cool to see it there (I had to put it in demo mode just so I could see it run...LOL). For those that use MSN Messenger and Hotmail I imagine it's even more interesting.

I think it is a cool screensaver. i saw it a few months ago. The onlyu problem is that you HAVE to down;oad MSN toolbar and MSN desktop search.

I have the toolbar, but I just really didn't want the MSN search (nor do I want Google's desktop search either)

Oh well... at least for me that is... otherwise its a cool thingy.

I think you can do this with DX (although it will be a faux screensaver and not accesable from the screensaver panel) and 'save your screen' with a activity timer DX widget or gadget that sees if you don anything on the computer... heck, maybe even a countdown can be shown and everytime you do something on the computer, it resets itself.

I was just gonna post this. lol. It gives you the option to not install the toolbar. I put it on my PC. It needs some more options though as far as what you view. The windows open and close all over the screen and you can't control where or how often.
